I've been in discussion with the Mrs. on getting a P3 and she's very worried about liability & damage, so I researched AMA and their coverage is killer for members, but I have outstanding questions not found using the 'search'.
1) Do you get an actual policy stating coverage (not just what's on their web site)? In your policy does it state that drones or quads are specifically covered? All the photos show planes, heli's etc, but I'm not finding the "drone" word. Sounds stupid, but specifics are specifics.
2) Who underwrites the insurance for AMA? I saw references to CHUBB and a few others, but who is the actual insurance provider for the AMA? Are they self insuring? That could unexpectedly go bust.
3) I'm aware of them being a secondary insurance provider, but are there any requirements for the homeowner's coverage first? IE: They'll kick in whether my coverage is $5,000 or $50,000 once it's been tapped, regardless of the amount?
Thanks for any specifics.
