I've seen very few discussions about the consecuences about missing the third axis of the Zenmuse H3-2D gimbal mounted in a Phantom 1
Before buying it I had been viewing a lot of good videos. None talking about lacking yaw compensation.
Pitch and roll are very well compensated by the gimbal but I frequently get yaw oscillation I can smooth with warp stabilizer (after effects) not removed.
I've read somewhere about increasing yaw gain. I don't see any difference.
What do you suggest?
Thank you

Because it gets blown into trouble and you can't see it happpening, especially flying at range...

Of course practice is needed.
Do you mean a white head light (ebay $8)?
I tried one once and it was useless to see the back of the quad.
Moreover, the video had amorphous shadows in the middle of the frames, I guess because of reflection on the props.

In ATTI mode I cannot film with the camera in a different position than quad moving direction.

Sorry, I don't get it. Enlarging the stick would help to fine tune yaw but the gopro would still filming forwards in relation to the quad.
I meant to filming to the right in relation to the quad (pan)
