The problem is the photo is not 20MP like a normal photo from the P4P camera. It's a screen capture of the 4K video, or about 8MP.Not sure about Litchi but in DJI GO you can take pictures and video at the same time.

I think you have to push the physical photo button on the RC. I rarely do this so I'm not 100% sure.Do you press the actual shutter button on the remote? For me, I get no photo when pressing the software shutter button while filming video.
One of the features I was interested in trying was being able to take a photo while videoing, unlike with the MP where you have to stop the video. I just realized that I'll never use this because like you pointed out your picture is not full MP so what's the point. Looks like I'll be stopping video to take photo's but the upside is I get an additional 8 MP (Mavic Pro's 12 to p4ps' 20).I think you have to push the physical photo button on the RC.
