That depends on what you mean by semantics.
Here is my FAA certification page... is lists “airmen certificate” that I’m certified under. Remote pilot is just one of many under “airmen certication”

DJI has been lucky so far but as soon as a P4P fried battery does some serious harm in the ground I guess FAA will have to investigate and eventually we'll have the luxury of some real disclosure.
 
This guy really surprised me. I was way below 400 ft, so was he.

I haven’t checked the sectional charts for the area, but if the lake has Class G airspace above it there is no minimum altitude required by an aircraft although their speed must be 240 mph or less. They must also be minimum distances from ground based objects.
