What else do you do with your gimbal?

When it is not mounted on your Phantom. It is such a great item, that I think you can mount it on something else and get great shots.

Main reason I got a gimbal that can be used easily independant of a quad is to use it also for many other handheld or mounted shots. Im still looking into putting it into an underwater housing somehow for stabilized dive use along with anything else I can think of.

Very cool. Keep it coming, especially the DYI type stuff. Crane shots, etc would be neat.

I was about to post a question along these lines... but about the Zenmuse.

I was under the impression I'd not be able to use a Zenmuse off the Phantom as it used the Naza IMU. However I recently found out it has its own inbuilt IMU.

Question is whether you can create a mount like these for the Zenmuse. I'm guessing it'd need the Gimbal and GCU to work. Not seen any DIY rigs with a Zenmuse on it though? Anyone else?

I thought the same thing with the Gadget Salon gimbal I got. I have a small battery to power it. They only thing I can't do is the tilt and pan.

I am sure someone has a way to attach it to DIY rig. The commerical rigs seem so expensive.
