Water Buoys?

If flying over greater than 100' water depth, I wonder if you could piggyback a second GetterBack to the first in series so they both activate and provide a longer line.

And are the suits able to come off when I don't want them on? I see on the website that they are also the wet suit so I can fly in rain.

We offer Two Products, the Wet Suit is made to stay on, The Rescue Jackets come on and off with ease.

Being that we fly over the lake couple time a week , we started with the Getterback, problem was that those capsules dont always explode so after we lost the first one , we doubled up on the getterbacks, than we got serious !

We just finished this test flight for a client , you can see the rescue jacket it in flight.

Takes about 15 seconds to slip on and lock in place.

Forget Refresh and insure through State Farm for $60.00 a year full coverage! They cover even fly always!

Good luck

Yes, thats what I was probably going to do anyway. Do you know how they know what happened? Cause it says they don't cover malfunctions. How do they tell what happened?

My agent said everything was covered. Lost, water, fly aways, anything! I couldn’t believe it at that price. One would be crazy not to use this coverage. He said they insure guns, jewelry and lots of other singular items. I had my previous Phantom covered on my Farm Bureau homeowner’s policy but it was $100 deductible . They did pay on my crash but switched with my V 2.0.

Thanks

My agent here in Mississippi told me a year ago that they did not cover them either here. Then when I got the new V 2.0 I asked again because of all the mentions on the forum and found out that they do. At $60.00 full coverage, no deductible for a year is great! I feel a lot more secure flying now than without it.

Good luck,
Jim

I have all of my insurance with AAA: home, car. If I already had State Farm for homeowner policy it might be possible to add the drone as a rider. I doubt the local agent would be interested in trying to get me a standalone policy just for the drone. To be frank, I haven't actually called to ask an agent; just going by what others in Cali have posted on this topic over the past year or two.

Yep, same here. I have Farm Bureau on everything else but the State Farm agent used the drone sale to present proposals to me on home/auto/etc. They may consider the drone policy as a feeder for their main source of insurance.. At that deal, it sure won't hurt to call.

Good luck,
Jim

We designed the Rescue Jacket but it is not Water Activated , you simply fly with the Rescue jacket on while you are flying over the water or testing new flight areas.

This is Rescue jacket holding up the Phantom 4 Pro from sinking in the water, the unit weighs 4.5 ounces.

We have more videos at Phantomrain.org but this will give you an idea what it can do in a landing or crash.
We have also tested out the Aerodynamics in flight and have found that with the exception of long distance records this works extremely well with sensors off and VPS turned off as well.

I assume that this test destroyed the camera? Or...the camera was destroyed BEFORE you conducted the test, yes?

No , we did have the Camera disconnect from the controller once , but that was about it, keep in mind we did not test the camera in the salt water. For those that have a Boat this has been a game changer for them and those that fish.

The dips were no problem for the camera but the swim caused the disconnect.

Than we tested it in the Crash simulation.
The camera was still Ok, however it was bent a little bit, we are still using it but its bent.
