VSC via DJI Assistant 2

Hello. I have been getting the VSC alert on my GO4 app. I know how to perform the VSC via Assistant 2. Unfortunately i cant get the Assistant app to recognise the P4, even plugged and unplugged. It keep giving me the connect prompt picture. Anyone know a walkaround this?
Im using an HP Pavillion Laptop running windows 8.

Try this:

1) Uninstall the DJI Assistant 2 application.
2) Download the DJI Assistant 2 installer here (don't run it).
3) Right click the installer file, choose "Run as administrator", and follow the prompts to install it.

Hello. Thanks for replying. So i did but nothing. I even bypass the signature enforcement thing for drivers to install. But nada. Wont connect. Smh. You would assume a 3.1bn company would be able to at least produce something that works. Period. Any more tips? Is the VSc absolutely necessary? I can fly normal but i dont want to risk it. I just got the p4.
