VPS sensing error

Just had a flight where my transmission signal disappear and then it turned off VPS. Had to restart bird and then it was fine. Anyone know what's causing that? First time I've had this happen. And when VPS shuts off the bird is just like it's in Sport Mode btw. Very fast and herky jerky. LOL.

How high was the Phantom? VPS does not operate above 33'/10m. So I don't see why it being "turned off" would affect flight above that height anyway.

I was flying at about 30ft high. Flying forward at 22mph in P mode. I let off stick to stop and right then transmission signal went black and from that point it was like it was in sport mode and the VPS error came up to restart bird. Did it and it was fine after that.
