Not for the P3.
But the P2 originally descended much faster and this was reduced twice in firmware updates to eventually be 2 m/s

Knowledge and avoidance of VRS is always a good thing. Even with canted motors, you can still induce VRS in certain conditions, albeit very rarely. Other drones in your future may be more susceptible to it.

Adding horizontal movement is the way to avoid it. It is also the way to get out of it.

You should see how quickly the Voltage 500 3D will descend once you go below mid throttle stick. ;-)

Yes exactly!
The P2 also had a proper manual mode.
The P3 could probably double it's current descent rate which would be a big help.

You can hear the props fighting with the air - reminds me of a car with the clutch slipping lol. Impossible to describe but you know it when you hear it!!!
