Video is crystal clear, but Photos are out of focus

I have been trying to figure out why this is happening.
My videos are clear as a bell, but my Photos all come out blurry and out of focus.
It doesn't make a difference if I turn off the mechanical shutter.
I have tried setting it to all auto, I always use the shutter button on the remote so the half press will focus it. But that does not help.
I have been going crazy trying to figure this out.
Has anyone else had this issue, and how did you solve it?

Have you tried AF assist. Where you touch the screen and it zooms in on the subject. You can actually see it focus clearly on screen. I have a P4A and the shutter button on my rc doesn’t focus. So that’s what I do. All my pics are razor sharp.
