I just bought Cyberlink Power Director 14 Ultimate. It's pretty powerful but not that complicated to use and there are lots of tutorials on You Tube under Power Director University channel.
For basic quick and dirty edits, use Windows Movie Maker. It's not shipped with Windows 10 anymore but is still free and available on the internet under Windows Essentials package.
I have used GoPro studio, it's not bad and free. Import /convert the source video. Has decent slo mo effects, etc. also use Nikon's NX View, also free.
