Video downlink using a SmallHD as field monitor?

You won't get much more than 100' with this HD system but it's thru the lens and HD

hi all,
here's the specs of smallHD
http://www.smallhd.com/products/dp4/index.html

would it work with dji 58ghz video downlink?
http://www.flying-hobby.com/dji-58ghz-v ... 10854.html

im not an expert on wiring but i do know how to follow instructions LOL.
just wondering if this setup will work? as some items i already own, would like to utilize it.

(pre-own) DJI phantom +
(might get) DJI Zenmuse +
(might get) DJI 5.8HGZ downlink +
(pre-own) gopro3 +
(pre-own) smallHD DP4

any info would be great!

:)

If the screen takes analogue inputs then there is no reason why the dji 5.8 link wouldnt work as it just outputs via composite video out. The main issue you may have with this screen is it will likely blue or blackscreen on low video signal. The screen itself will be better then all other fpv screens but if it shuts down on a noisy signal its not much good for fpv use, as you want a screen that will go to full noise rather then shutdown if video signal gets low.
