There seems to be a green pigment attached to the gimbal of my Phantom 4 Pro. It looks like green rust, is very hard to the touch. After searching the internet I believe this to be Verdigris or Copper Sulphate. I fly my drone mostly at the seaside. The drone is still functioning properly.

Should I try removing it myself, if so how? Or should get it should sorted out professionally?

If it gets worse will it eventually stop the drone working, and how do I prevent it from happening in the future?

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Maybe post a picture. As an aside, when I first started out in IT, had to do work for one of the exec's home office located right on Malibu Beach. Every piece of electronics had massive corrosion, TV, computers etc. One reason I don't fly at the beach.

Sorry for the delay folks, I have been very busy. Two photographs attached.
Any help would be much appreciated.
