Uv filter question about removal

So I cracked my uv filter lense and it shows in some shots that have too much light... Other members have said it doesn't do anything. If I unscrew it and remove it will it work the same or will it add in additional light and make my video worse ? Can anyone confirm? I fly to Egypt Tuesday and can't find a replacement in time... I ordered one on rush but it may or may not come in time.... It's raining so i can't test it...

Not every camera comes with UV filter!

Oh... That's reassuring actually lol... My nd filters came in at least... I ordered from polar pro yesterday **** that was quick...
