use P2V+ as camcorder

I know the title sounds wierd, but as an wedding videographer, I wonder if it is possible to use the P2V as just camcorder. (Using it as a B roll for wide shots and backups)

What would be the limitation to record upto? How long will the battery last if it is not operated? any hacks or mods available for this?
