Well I just tried a USB 3 cable with my Galaxy S5. The video display seemed more stable but might have been my imagination. The cable fitting is certainly more secure. Does anyone else use USB3?

Is your controller a model GL300A or GL300B?
A = USB 2, B = USB 3
There's some debate but from what I've read there's no discernible difference in signal between either. Some have said they noticed with USB 3 their tablets seemed to run warmer, I dunno, all I have are A models. It looks like with the A models more video processing or preparation happens in the controller versus the B models where the tablet's doing all the work and the controller's just sending the signal.
I have the A model so obviously no point in using USB3 other than the cable fits better.
