Everything was green including the compass. Batteries were 98% to 100%. Absolutely no wind and 71*. Executed manual take off and was slowly climbing to a desired 300 ft. At approximately 100 ft. and 30 secs. into the flight I got the audio statement, "landing". I was able to fine tune the landing location but could not override the descent. *batteries all checked out at 89%-97%" . I would like every possible reason for this glitch, PLEASE.

Thanks. The nfz makes sense but I've flown this area many times with no interventions. I do sit in the intersection of 8 heliports. These are all hospitals.
Isn't there an app that makes the calls for you (not airports).

wtf?

Have you performed a software upgrade recently, as the table of NFZs could have been updated. I'd be curious what the DJI protocol is for flying into a NFZ? Simply being within the 5mi area of a Heliport should not trigger anymore than a warning message.

Perhaps you were ascending straight up?
When directly overhead, your signal will be at it's worst even if you correctly orient your antenna.
Maybe you lost your control signal and RTH was automatically initiated so your AC began to land.

Should have been able to cancel that though.

The symptoms all sounds like NFZ or critical low battery, but since the battery isn't it then NFZ seems like the most viable suggestion.

Yes, most people could if they thought about it, noticed it, or had enough experience. With no actual flight data posted we can only speculate based on the description.

I happen to disagree so I offered another potential reason as requested by the OP.

Cheers!

Took her out again this afternoon...same thing. The bird is approximately 100' up and maybe 50' in front. Should be appropriate angle for bird to receive control signals.

same location ? i have no issues with my p3s at 15m out and 90m up. can you try a spot not near any nfz's ?

You have me thinking though, I rewired my transmitter last week with the ARGtek extender kit. I've flown since then but low and practice maneuvers only. Nothing I would assume would test the new antenna strength. Short of reopening the transmitter, is there any other way to test if this is the answer to the mystery?

well...with all do respect, you should have shared the antenna upgrade info in your first post ! ive read many posts about upgrades gone wrong, some seem to be with 2.4/5.8 being plugged in wrong, and others are just defective products. with that said , you may not have any issue other than the function of directional antennas.

check the connections of the ARGTEK kit , they can be damaged if not put on carefully and will come loose , and hot glue them in place
I just threw them on and hoped they would stick. Sorry, had to get that off my chest. I opened the RC and checked the connections. All were solidly in place but before I play the defect card (and those hassles) I removed the antenna connection. Everything looked fine including the "pin". I cleaned and remounted the connection. Yes, I actually felt it snap (in a good way). I'll fly tomorrow to test the range. If or when that is right I will be testing the WiiFi. Thank you for your help and suggestions. Oh by the way, I am not in a NFZ. I do have the option to contact 5 hospital helipads.
