One would think that a couple of the highly regarded experts here would have had a crack at flying a prototype, if they exist.

Do you think the camera will be greatly improved in the DJI Phantom 5? I think it will and that is the sole reason I dont jump on the Phantom 4. I can't afford both the 4 and 5, when it comes out.

Currently on a 3 Standard.

Anyone with knowledge about future tech improvements in sensors or lenses etc? Anything else that points to greatly improved optics in the coming Phantom 5?

Oct ,11 will have the new hasselback camera for quadcopter.

It is called HasselBLAD. Swedish for Leaf. It means hazelleaf.

And it wont be announced on the 11th.. thats the X7 camera for the Inspire.
