Take off problems

I have the phantom fc40 I just got it in off of ebay I've had one before I lost it this is my second go around and as I was trying to build this one back up I used I put a gimbal on the unit and now when I take off the craft act like its sluggish it will not maintain this altitude and kind of close up and down any suggestions I don't have anything else on their battery and the gamble no camera

Sounds like your using aftermarket PROPS, if they DONT say DJI on them, throw them away. Mine was doing the same thing ( p2v ) I changed the props to DJI ones, problem gone!

Also might try calibrating the Tx?
Or increase gains a bit, to compensate for added load ( gimbal )?
