So I took my P3S up for its first flight today, and I have to say it's awesome! Way different than my toy grade stuff, But you guys already know that.

I practiced manual take offs and landings, then I tried the auto take off which was a cool feature. When I pressed the auto land (on the DJI app) it started descending and trying to land where ever it was. I was under the impression (as I thought I read) that auto land was a return to home as well. I can't seem to find where I was reading again. Any info on this would be appreciated. I was flying in P mode if that makes any difference and had 12 satellites.

Any info would be greatly appreciated

Auto Land and RTH are two separate things

The auto land feature will always land your Phantom at its current location. The RTH feature will return your Phantom to the last marked home point and then auto land it. However, if your Phantom is not more than 20m from the home point, RTH will auto land it at its current location.

Thanks for the info, I was also flying in beginner mode. Good clarification for me, thank you
