Replacing Camera/Gimbal unit

I smashed up my camera gimbal, so bought a complete replacement gimbal and camera assembly. I'm wondering if there is anything special to look out for in replacing it. My inclination is to plug in the three connectors and try it out, but just in case there are more steps involved, I want to be sure, this is an expensive chunk of hardware.
