I've only had 6hrs of flying my Phantom 4 Pro Plus. Should my settings be set with the red lights on during normal flying in P mode?

It's up to you. If taking photos/video in low light conditions, they will probably turn out better if the front lights are turned off.

Yes thats correct. Its located in camera settings.
