Red light on H3-D3 gimbal

I am trying to add a Zenmuse H3-D3 gimbal/camera to a P2Vision+. It came without a setup attached. When I turn it on the gimbal goes crazy. i tried a hard factory restart, downloaded the firmware but the gimbal still goes crazy. And the light on the gimbal is red. After doing the reset it turned yellow, as it should. But when I restart the bird, the light goes to red. Any help or assistance would be greatly appreciated.
