Recovering a lost phantom

I use an older android phone, wrapped in bublewrap inside a sealed food bag, tape it to the drone and it's got an app called Life 360 on it, then my iphone has the same app.

So I can then track down the phone to within 10m by the app, then call the phone and head for the ringing to locate my drone. Easy

Interesting idea. Only thought would be the weight of the phone and the drag down on time in the air.

That's one way to do it, but as Happyflyer said, it would cut down flight time and make it a bit unstable. Last time I used my phone just to get some video with sound, I got about 4 minutes of flight time on my big battery, and that was without the fc40 camera and camera mount.
