RC Encryption Error

Hey, folks! I'm stumped on this one! After 'upgrade'ing my RC FW to the new 1.9, my RC beeps in red 2X per second as soon as it's powered on. I'm getting a RC Hardware Encryption error on the dji app. Although it is beeping and blinking red, it is still connecting to the AC. At this point, it appears i have all functionality. I tested it in my garage (afraid to take it outside with this issue), everything works. But the dang RC keeps beeping incessantly! As if these things aren't crowd magnets already! Thanks in advance for any help that can be offered.

Have you tried the basics such as calibrating the RC, relinking with the AC, downgrading the RC, etc?
Which FW version do you have on your AC? If you updated your RC but not your AC, you may have created an encryption mismatch.

Yeah, I've tried all of that. I'm on AC 1.11 and the RC is on 1.9.

I want to avoid sending it in as I have only heard of nightmares dealing with dji. I'm considering unplugging the battery, but I would prefer not opening, in case I absolutely have to send it in.

As Oso alluded to above, sounds like you need to upgrade your AC FW. See his post here for more info: Soon to be new owner phantom 3 advanced

I'm on the most recent FW 1.11. I've double checked too. Perhaps I should redo the AC FW upgrade?....

Encryption error is a very clear sign of mismatch encryption between RC and AC. It seems RC or AC FW has not been installed correctly or you didn't link them again after updates.

Yeah, I hear you. That makes sense and certainly could be the issue. But I don't know how to fix it now. When I try to update the RC now (over this loud incessant beeping)

, it says no downloads available.

In your place, I would try to downgrade in failsafe boot mode:

But - you have big chance of completely bricking your RC by trying anything further. I don't know - maybe it's safer to just solder out the speaker?
I would go with the downgrade, but I can diagnose and fix the hardware in case it gets bricked.

No no.. sorry, I don't do such services. I'm only fixing stuff as a hobby. And the pricing of my work can't beat Chinese workers.

Thanks everyone for your help. Unfortunately, I have followed all advice here to no avail. It appears it is now 'bricked' so I will be sending it in.
