PS3 won't update to 1.7.90

My phantom 3 standard keeps saying the update fails i have tried new sd cards and foramtting them too. My app version is 3.1.0 and aircraft is 1.6.80+ i cant fly it because i have no transmission signal and gimbal status is disconnected. Please help!!
Also i downloaded DJI Assistant 2 and it won't read my drone when its connected.

In your Go app, main screen, click the airplane icon. Sometimes there is a message there regarding finishing the update.

The Standard is upgraded via the app, not the SD card.

There is no message, i think the update fails because the gimbal disconnects and i assume it can't access the SD card if the gimbal isn't connected. i dont know how to avoid it from disconnecting. i turn it on and the gimbal is connected but once i start updating it disconnects.

Downgrade again to 168 and use the iphone for upgrade only via Dji GO to 179
