Prop screw removal

Is it possible to remove the center set screws from the props? I note that DJI sells props without the screws for a cheaper price.

The Phantom 2 Vision+ props do not have screws. They do screw onto the motors though.

We are talking about these props, right?

Sounds like he's spotted some of the old-style props for the original Phantom - not the modern self-tightening ones.

You can buy the nuts separately and use them with the older props.
Note that the older propellers are mostly 8045 (ie, 8" props instead of 9").
Of course, there are also various custom props that can use the nuts as well.
