Prop balancing

There is nothing like locating an item to be balanced on it's own locating system, be it its bearings or in this case the thread and flat area on the outside of the thread., Using the actual motor spindle is perfect, there can be no chance of the prop being slightly off centre.

"Using the threaded shaft ? That locks the prop and does not allow it to turn as well on the rod" The last thing you want is the propeller turning on the balance shaft! You will not get repeatability if that happens, it means it's loose!

Not so actually ... the bush is a close fit on the rod with NO slack or play ...

With great respect - I've been balancing props for more years than I care to remember ... and that rod / bush setup is spot on fine.
