PolarPro polarizing filter

I just now got the 3 pack and haven't taken it out yet. What should I know about the outer ring? Do I just fire up the app, and twist it until it looks best? Also, and this was mentioned in a YT vid- every filter came with a knotted loop of string. What their function?

Hold the PL up to your PC screen and turn it . then you will see .
String. I take it you are talking about the 3 bags and you store them in those .

No, three loops of white string besides the bags. BTW, I got a nice hard zippered case with the filters- that was unexpected!

WOT..I got ripped ! No case just bags . No clue about the string .
