For £3.54 (circa $5) including postage from China it's worth a punt....

Also I notice it looks suspiciously like this one at three times the price...

Those are the same ones I have and they work great as long as you make sure to keep the aimed at the bird.
Plus, they fold up nicely to be stored in the backpack.
