Phantom P4P pro flight distance

I had a quick search in the forum and haven't found the answer to my lack of flight distance.

I just returned from a fishing trip in the Gulf of Carpentaria and took my drone with me to gain a bit more experience and tried to see how far I could fly it from the boat. My mate had binoculars and we kept a visual on it but I got a message at 1km saying I had reached my maximum flight distance. I was in P mode and can't understand why, does anybody have a suggestion?

One possibility is that you had a Max Distance Limit set in the app.
Did you?
Post some recorded flight data and it should help shed some light on the situation.

Several parameters hiding in the settings. Those settings can be easily overlooked. Certainly doesn’t hurt the aircraft to turn it on and spend whatever time it takes to look for and find those settings and discover what effect they have on your flight.
I still have to hunt for a few myself.

Thanks to everyone who replied. Max Distance was set to 1000m so there is nothing wrong with the controller, just the controller himself.
