Phantom P4 range and max altitude. rookie question

hey everyone, this might be a stupid question but Im really new to this... I just unboxed my Phantom 4 and flew it a couple of times... the max range I can get is 500meters away from the receiver and it doesn't go farther than that... while the max altitude it get to is 100meters...

those are the ranges that the DJI Go APP allows me to input in the settings..

Am I missing anything while setting it up? is there anyway I can extend the range of the drone?

You need to disable the "Enable Max Distance" setting in the "Main Controller Settings" section of the DJI GO app.

No. You cannot fly beyond 30 meters when Beginner Mode is enabled.
