Phantom Advance- adjusting payload weight

Hi All,
I build sensor payloads for drones and have been tasked with how to attach to this specific drone. I am wondering if anyone has tried to change the weight of the payload on these drones and if it has any effect on the controls or how it flies. I am also wondering if the gimbal and camera can be removed to be able to facilitate the sensor payload and the weight difference
