Hello everybody - this could be the start of an incredible adventure

Yesterday the phantom 4 drone was set to "follow me" and hit the side of my house I did not see the crash only saw the drone on its side in the dry dirt. Bugger!

There is a great deal of damage and pictures shall be posted.
  • Body
  • Legs
  • Gimbal
  • Motor/s - dirt inside from impact
  • Internal damage - no idea
  • Electronics - GPS, compass, sensors remain unknown
My question?
  • Send it into DJI?
  • I am in Germany do I find a German repairer?
  • Use it as a project to disassemble and rebuild with all of your help
  • Disassemble and sell the parts off individually and buy another drone

Depending on the actual crash factors it might be warranty. I am in US and can not be sure of Germany service.
Send email to dji support and they will send info on returning for evaluation. Based on forums comments they will send shipping label for return. So it cost you nothing for them to evaluate & quote repair cost. Then you can make informed decision on most cost effective action.
If you choose no repair they will return it to you at no cost.

I was not aware of that so I shall look into that during the next days.

Thank you for the info

Regards
