Hi guys. I picked up a Phantom 4 for dirt cheap ($380) and I’m going over everything to get it up and flying. It came with the body, controller, 4 batteries, charging hub, parabolic range extenders, ITelite DBS range extender, original antennas and some lens filters.
Thus far, I’ve tried charging all the batteries overnight, but they will not turn on and when plugged in individually or in the hub, the charging light on the hub stays solid red except for on one of the batteries. The power lights on the batteries will not turn on at all no matter what.
Secondly, when I connect my iPhone XS Max to the Tx, the DJI GO 4 app says the device is not compatible. Is there another version or software altogether that I can use with my phone?
I recall a method of jump starting a discharged LiPo by using a NiCad charger for a few minutes then switching to the LiPo balance charger. It’s worked for one of my surface vehicles. Is there anything like this that can be done for these four batteries? The holes for the original antennas are filled with hot glue. Is this normal practice when the range extender antenna is installed?
I don’t have any history on this drone other than it has sat in a storage unit for a while. Any suggestions on how to proceed would be appreciated.
