My Phantom 3 SE flys great. Only problem is the DJI Go app. When it opens, I swipe left to select Phantom 3 SE. HOW TO CONNECT is displayed but when I push it the app closes. I'm using DJI app version 3.1.82 on a tablet running android version 5.7.1.

Welcome to the forum!

Need more detail.

Examples,
How long have you had this P3SE.
What changed since it was working correctly
Same android device.

BTW, these are awesome forum. :)👍 .

Its your turn. :)👌

Thanks for replying. My old tablet bit the dust. The new one is around 5 years old. Would the Litchi software solve this problem? I like DJI because you can set waypoints as you fly. Youtube videos show only setting it up before flying.

No matter what, you still need DJI-Go for some settings, Litchi can only use what DJI provides as a SDK .
If I'm incorrect other members will help out.

Check out this link.

With in that link is this one.

I tried a different tablet. It allowed me to press the HOW TO CONNECT icon but it returned an error saying it is unavailable in my country. I got the 3.1.82 app directly from DJI. Any suggestions on where to get DJI Go for the United States?

DJI's site with the app says "Only supported for download on phones." My old tablet used to work. I'll look for an old phone now.

Update:Aafter trying a working android phone: Same deal the app displays "Not available in your country."

Hummmmm,
What is your location, even though I don't think that is the problem.

Did you look at the best tablets?

Rod ..

Adding can you start the props without the mobile device?
My direction is, are the remote and the bird linked.

Location is upstate NY. I can fly without problem. The problem is the tablet. It says NOT AVAILABLE IN YOUR COUNTRY so I can't go further with the tablet/phone.

You should be able to download the app from the DJI site for any android device DJI say phone as a reference to any device but as its an older tablet the latest one wont work as they updated it, use APK mirror to get an older version and side load it (use google if you dont know what that means)

Thanks CMH
I have some personal distractions this last week, I will send you a PM.

In the night I starting thinking, this message, "NOT AVAILABLE IN YOUR COUNTRY"

It cannot be an app problem, DJI doesn't have different apps for different country's

But, @crash1sttime is pointing at the DJI app version could probably be to new for the Android tablet.

You need to try an older version.

.

What (older) version DJI Go app do you use with a phantom 3? A lot of apps on apk.mirror and uptodown.com are listed but many are dead links or links to things such as DJI Fly.
I understand @crash1sttime direction.
I also understand where you stuck at, but I really not familiar with androids.

I will not give up, well I will tell you if I do. :) 👌

Rod ..

Adding, you need find a Androider that knows this stuff.
