Any ideas on what would cause a Phantom 3 Standard to suddenly, while on descent, go into a wild uncontrollable tailspin and crash?

Phantom 3 Standard Flight Data
Ok, I have never crashed my drones and don't intend to, but if I happen to crash my Phantom 3 Standard, where do I get the flight data that tells me what happened? Do I plug the corpse of the drone into my pc, or is the data on my iPad?

It could be a number of different things. The first step is to review the flight data. You can upload that to the link below and post a link back here to the uploaded file. Instructions are on the link: Log Viewer
This may or may not lead to a definitive answer, however it is much easier than retrieving the aircraft log to start.
I'm not sure if this may be the case, but If you descend too quickly the Drone will enter it's own prop wash, and fly very erratically and even stall and crash. This is also seen when you are hovering a foot or so over the ground, the drone will go crazy, if you wish to land, then bring it down slowly and deliberately.
