As a hobbyist do I need to notify or get clearance from ATC in order to fly under the area marked 100/68 in the attached San Diego Class B Airspace map?

My house is 7 miles from MCAS Miramar, at the edge of the yellow area under the box that says "CAUTION - BALLOON ACTIVITY".

The confusing part here is that the DJI app tells me I'm in Class B airspace, but according to the map that airspace doesn't start until 6,800 ft up. And I'm further than 5 miles out from the airport. It's also unclear to me what the yellow vs non-yellow distinction is when they are both inside the same 100/68 polygon.

We have a number of nearby parks, nature trails, coastline, etc which are interesting places to photograph by drone.

Can anyone explain the rectangular box with designations 32/SFC and 100/48 ? I don,t get the surface to 3200

Thanks I understand that but why are there 2 different designations in the same box?

Here's my take, ICBW. Notice the line & arrow from that box pointing to the area south & west of Miramar. The SFC/32 protects Miramar and 48/100 protects San Diego airspace. So the Class B area there starts at SFC, going to 3200MSL, a gap from 3201 to 3999 (which I think is Class E) and then B again from 4000 to 10,000.

It's a complicated area with Class B & D airports along with E Surface areas.
