Painting the top shell?

Good morning and hi everyone,

I just want to paint the top shell of mine. Thats all. Is it easy to take off without messing with ANY of the electronics? I dont want to unhook anything. Are the screws locked in with loctite?

There was a bit of thread lock on mine, but they came out and went back with no problems.

Cool. Thanks. Did you have to unhook anything? I just have bad luck with electronic stuff. Id prefer not to undo anything but the screws.

Taking the lid completely off requires you to undo the GPS cable & the compass cable.

On mine, just the GPS to unplug, which is a push fit so no chance to get it wrong.

Thanks you all. I really appreciate the help. Two wires sounds okay. lol.... I can deal with simple plug and play stuff. I cant wait to show this off.

Its already been the most fun Ive had in awhile even without a camera.
