P4P and P4A Wifi

Hello all,
Just something I wanted to get straight.
With the few differences between the Phantom 4 Pro and the Phantom 4 Advanced, one of them is the P4A only having the 2.4GHz wifi while the P4P has both 2.4 and 5.8GHz.
If you are using an OTG cable between your device and Contoller does it really matter?
I mean don't we use either wifi or direct connection using an OTG cable?

No. You can only connect your mobile device to the remote controller via a cable.

The 2.4 and 5.8GHz frequencies are used to send data between the remote controller and the Phantom.

From the same home point I'm getting over twice the range with the p4p vs p4a.
And still waiting for DJI to add pano shots to the p4a firmware.

You might be aware, but you can now register/request to be included in the beta testing for P4A pano mode firmware update.

I did this a few days ago and I am expecting to be able to download it today.
