P4 updating. Please help!

i am a bit confused on firmware updates for my new phantom 4. Do I update from DJI go app, or the DJI assistant software on a computer? Also, do I have to use the micro USB cable provided in the box or can I use a regular one?

It's easiest to install the firmware from DJI GO like this.

Dji go app is the easiest way to update everything from bird to multi charger
