P4 Onboard USB Usage

I know the Onboard USB on p4 is used to upgrade firmware, I do understand if you try connect your phone cable it does charge as well, I wonder if I connect to power up external device will that cause any problem during flight?

Actually I hesitate not sure what might happen, who knows if something went wrong

You could test it on the ground with no props to see if USB power works when the motors are turned on.
