P3s range limit

Guys, sorry if this has been done a 1000 times but easier to ask before trying, i rarely fly my p3 to the max, one time i did this (limit set to 500m) it lost signal and after a bit RTH kicked in, but will this be the same if i turn the limit of, say it went 600m and lost signal it should just go to RTH i am asking as i have a copper range booster/reflector that i have never used, but i really should give it a try

Using the default settings in DJI GO, RTH will be automatically initiated 3 seconds after the remote controller disconnects from the Phantom.
