P3S Gimbal Guard Install

Since the day I got my P3S and removed the gimbal guard I have never been able to re-install it. I have watched videos of several people re-installing this guard with ease but I cant even get the camera all by itself to slide in between the bottom lip and top of the guard. Its like my guard shrank. Anyhooo... Even if I did get it on I have no doubt it will be a b!tch to get off.

Any suggestions for an alternative?

This one is a gimbal clamp & lens cap all in one and is widely available on eBay & Amazon. Cheap too.

My P3S gimbal lock doesn't slide on easily either. I can get it on, but it takes a little more patience than the other P3 models.

Well, glad to hear that I am not alone

I haven't tried this yet, but a bit of light sanding on the inside bottom part of the gimbal lock might fix it. That's where mine seems to create a lot of friction.

Yeah, I gave up, it just added stress.
I m really surprised I have never seen a post, I broke my camera installing the gimbal guard.

I actually don't know where mine is.
