P3P will not connect to DJI GO app???

The USB connection to your phone is completely unrelated to the RC connecting to AC. One can function perfectly normally without the other. There are only 3 possible reasons your phone is not connecting:
1. The USB cable is a charge only cable which doesnt allow data communications.
2. The settings for the USB port on your phone are incorrect.
3. The USB board on the RC is bad.
If you have tried different cables and phones then its likely number 3.

Hello all!

It has been a long while since I flew my P3P, but today I was going to give it a go. My RC and Bird are connected, but my iPhone 7 Plus will not connect to my Controller. I have tried three different cables, and a plethora of other suggestions, but still no success. I can move the camera with the up and down camera roller. I can also start the propellers by holding the toggles down and in, as well as shut them off. I have looked everywhere for a solution, but I have found nothing. I even did a search here, and came up empty, so I apologize if this is a repeat thread. I just want to fly my P3P and take some photos, but that is impossible if my iPhone won't connect using the DJI GO app. As far as I know my app is up to date, as well as the bird and RC. I also hear that the Mavic Pro is having the exact same issue. Did DJI BRICK my several thousand dollar investment?

Thank you ahead of time for any suggestions you can through my way!
Sincerely,
Mike

More information is needed:

-What drone ?
-What DJI app and what version ?
-What RC's (GL300?)
-What are the Status LED's of the AC & RC's telling you ?
Download and consult the User Manual for this.
-What Firmware versions are the RC's on ?
-What Firmware version is the AC on ?
-Post a/some screenshot(s)

To be clear:
The drone does NOT connect to the GO app, but
-The AC connects to the RC
-The RC connects to the device/GO app

Hi tribar
In a miracle I was able to connect with the AC. Let me outline the the hardware I tried and what actually made it work. Because I made it work with Android but I still have no luck with iOS.

So in what I consita miracle my remote connected to my phone a few times. Before I explain my progress let me tell you my hardware.

2 controllers gl300b
1 controller gl300a
1 phantom 3 professional w323a

2 Android phones
1 iOS iPad

Last night after dozens and dozens connect and disconnect cycles the USB options finally recognized the controller and I instantly got the DJI app message about connection and the app screen immediately only gave me One option which was p3p camera view. It just all worked on it's own.

As of last night I went back to not being able to connect. My USB preferences screen in Android is all greyed out. I've tried multiple cables and multiple phones all the same . I have three controllers one in 'mint' condition from eBay. All have the same issue. As of now I'm back to swapping cables and plugging and unplugging.

One one phone I'm using the latest DJI go app and on the other I'm using version 3.1.76

On the iPad I'm using the latest

So the app is not the problem.
Tbh I don't know. And another weird issue I noticed is that the remote that the p3p came with was able to be linked and unlinked very fast. And the eBay remote never linked. I went on offer up and bought a p3p with a gl300a for $50 and the remote didn't want to go into link mode no matter what combination I tried. After almost all day trying it finally linked. And now the original remote will not link at all. My point is all the remotes are different even if they are the same model number. And they change something once they link. Idk.

I can fly the AC, I can initiate video recording and everything works from that standpoint but the DJI app won't connect to the controller..

An btw my history with p3 goes back at least 7 years..I have disassembled phantoms at least a dozen times and swapped parts to make them work. I could have swore I had a P3P in the past but now with this cable issue I think I didn't. I always connected via Wi-Fi and never had an issue until now. I bought a mint condition p3p for $240 on offer up. And I ended up buying a new phone $80, gl300b controller $30 very used, gl300b mint from eBay, $50 p3p crashed with gl300a controller and I still can't make this darn thing work.

Perhaps cracked/dry/cold solder joints on the USB port of the controller.
Have a look here:
