Just read the first post I think I'm having same issues, went out to fly my advance after not been out for a month possibly more and just couldn't connect at all. I've tried everything I can possibly think off I've gone back over previous similar issues on Google ranging from 2016 to present day and tried all that with no luck (USB debugging etc) but one thing I did do was connect my Missus phone up and that was ok. That to me thinks it's just down to android version, her phone is on android 8 and whilst my tablet is on android 6 looks like I'm buying a new tablet. There must be more than me having the same issue but can't seem to find many other recent queries.
