P3 video format not playing

Person just bought a P3.
He claims he can't play back the MOV file.
Has set at H.264.
Tried VLC as viewer and got "can not play video" message.
Tried a conversion to MKV and that did not work.
What's the solution?
Does the P3 have a variety of formats to use or what?

Try recording as an mp4 and playing in VLC.

Having the same problem switched it to mp4 and can't get it to play. Using android

Took the SD card out and put it in my note 10.1 2014. Tried different players and it won't play.

I flew mine at 1080 30 fps and had no issue.
