Yes, the mod that i did is on the new Tx,
For the nutsert, it works like a rivet, it gets compressed and that what holds it in.

Your solution is very neat and elegant, but all I could see was a ruined TX, lol. Here is my simplest solution but it seems to work, have not flown it yet. Thanks for all your input.

I have that same mount, it works good, but i really like the inspire one better, but i am one that likes to fab stuff, hard for me to leave stuff alone .

This is very easy to do, there is some videos on youtube on how to take the Tx apart .

I really liked the inspire1 tab mount so i did a mod to my P2+ TX and put it on it, way better then the other options. I used a 1/4-20 nutsert for the mount to screw in, I think it turned out good..

You don't want to buy this tool just to do this mod, to much $$, you can do the mod without the nutsert, just use a slandered nut, you just wont be able to take it off, no big deal..

Yes and No, works like one but the nutsert wont fit in a rivet gun,you will need the combo gun for that, The price has came way down on the tool, $35 is cheep for one and you can use it on all kinds of stuff, when i got mine allot of years ago it was like $300 .
