Why would I get over exposure on video but when I take stills it is ok? Bright lights on video causes vertical black lines. I can dial it out but then the rest gets too dark. Ideas?

I don't know about being only on video but if you have bright lights and deep shadow in the same frame, the camera can't expose to show both properly.
It's just a limitation of most cameras. Try to avoid high contrast compositions like that.
I actually have 3 cameras and only one does it under the same conditions. I have swapped parts around and it is the main gimbal board.
