Outside the green circle in GroundStation for ios

Hi all. Question 1: Is there a way to "hack" that green circle in ground station to go outside of it when entering waypoints? I am assuming that the app sends the commands to the Phantom and it goes from there. It doesnt constantly give it commands where to go in the waypoint mode. So why not go outside the circle if the battery life will last? I wanna go one long distance and then return to home. Question 2: After you set the waypoints, it doesnt climb to the specified altitude and then go the distance. It gradually climbs to the waypoint. I want it to climb then vertically go. Thanks

You cannot alter that behavior with the DJI Vision app. The "Unofficial DJI Vision" app includes some additional ground station settings. See more here:

Plot a waypoint very close to your starting location and make it as high as you want. That will make your Phantom fly steeply up before going to the second waypoint.
